What I Do:Well Informed Citizens
With scorching riffs and blazing keys, Well Informed Citizens have a very classic vibe. Like a Deep Purple James Gang baby raised by Joe Bonamassa. In 2012, Well Informed Citizens have been nominated for Best New Artist in the 32nd Annual Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Awards. They were also nominated for several 88.9 Radio Milwaukee's "Milwaukee Music Awards": Best Band, Best Album, and "See You Falling" for Best Song and Catchiest Song. I wrote the songs and teamed up with Evil Kneevers for a producer. Featured on the CD are Evil Kneevers (WINNER 2012 WAMI - Best Keyboards) on keys and vocals, Dave Schoepke on drums, Joey Carini on bass, and Eric Hervey (WINNER 2012 WAMI - Best Bass) on bass as well. "Satisfying swamp rock where guitar riffs are the stars" - Milwaukee Journal Sentinel "guitar playing reminiscent of Jimmy Page and Lindsey Buckingham" - OnMilwaukee.com "a band that sounds ready to crash any biker gang picnic they can find" - Shepherd Express ![]() Reckless Life In 2012, Reckless Life was nominated for Best Tribute Band in the 32nd Annual Wisconsin Area Music Industry (WAMI) Awards. The lead singer sounds just like Axl Rose, and every show is a PARTY!!! I play Izzy. Here's us playing Welcome to the Jungle:Daniel Nathan Band Kenny Wayne Shepherd said that once you love the blues, you never stop loving the blues. So every once in awhile I'll do a Daniel Nathan Band show to satisfy the blues itch. Since 2006, the band has been playing a healthy mix of blues-rock originals and covers in the vein of Hendrixy blues and Stevie Ray Vaughan type riffs.“a standout amongst its rock ‘n’ roll contemporaries” - OnMilwaukee.com “no slouch on flute” - Shepherd Express. Lovanova I had a brief four month stint playing bass with these guys in 2010. Lovanova is a instrumental combo driven by Paul "Evil" Kneevers' Hammond Organ. Kneever's heavily hot-rodded Hammond draws upon the foundation of Hammond players like Jimmy Smith, Booker T and Larry Young. I got an assistant engineering credit on their second album We're All in It Together, released on Crustacean Records.dan@danielnathan.com Click here for a hi-res photo.
